In the spring of 2025, I traveled to my friend's home town Bordeaux France with her and her family. I wanted to make something special for our friendship, memory and feelings of gratitude. Using the mother of pearl technique with CNC and the seashells we collected in the beach of the Bordeaux, I made this Hashioki(chopstick rest).
